Reciter
As a Reciter you will slowly weaken your opponents in a battle of wills. Slow and certain, you rely on your wits to chose the next move.
Character
The Reciter came from a land that’s farther away than most after hearing of a rare book that lies deep inside a hidden cavern. She is determined to find it and bring it back for her mentor, Rielle, to study. It’s supposed to contain a way to revive the dead, and she’ll do anything to get her hands on it. In spite of her determination, she’s constantly sidetracked by people asking for assistance, and she can’t help but answer their pleas. So, it may take her awhile to find the book!
Primary Attributes
Low level summons (she can summon a cat that will temporarily keep enemies away with it’s hissing and clawing; she can summon a bird to temporarily stun enemies with its music; she can summon a dog that will lead enemies away for a brief time period)
Defensive barriers and spells (not very strong, but long lasting)
Rhymes to increase defense/agility/strength
Weapons
Primary: Ancient Scroll or Calligraphy Brush
Secondary: Stone Tablet (depending on what you’re using, it can bolster different attributes)
Second and Third Classes
Linguist (better suited to a scroll) is mainly a defender. She can’t attack very fast, but she has a high defense, allowing her to slowly lower her enemies’ defense.
- Savant: A PvP oriented class that relies on debuffs, counters, and heightened agility to get her out of trouble.
- Scholar: A PvE oriented class that specializes in AoE damage, shielding, and heightened vitality to keep her on her feet.
Calligrapher (better suited to a brush) is mainly a summoner. She can attack hard and fast, but she’s more vulnerable to attack, and relies on her summons to defend her.
- Artisan: A PvP oriented class with summons that focus on one target, with one goal in mind: Don’t stop until it dies.
- Scribe: A PvE oriented class with a mass of summons who spread out to deal a wide range of damage.
Anyways, Bluu and I created this for a contest on the DNest forums. I came up with the idea for her then we fiddled with the appearance/attributes and all that. Then she drew her. Didn't she turn out nicely?
